Prayer Island
   by Bro Ray Zander
Dunklin's Poet  Laureate

Prayer Island is a safe retreat
Where God and man can always meet
God sees those tears and hears that sigh
He's helped so many, won't pass you by
"Call upon Me" is His request
For you He'll do the very best
Picture Christ welcoming at the door
Those wounded hands you can't ignore

He called you "Come" from yonder tree
Forgiveness there was vast and free
You have not because you ask not
So let Me hear your voice
I'm the Comforter and the Healer
Make Me alone your choice
I'm able to bear your burden
All I want is for you to share
Cross the bridge to Prayer Island
Be sure I'll meet you there

No, I cannot bring  back that loved one
But I provided for his rest
One day I'll make it plain to you
Bearing burdens is what I do best
No appointment is necessary
To reach the Savior's ear
He bids you boldly come
Without distractions, doubt or fear

A precious soul will find the Savior
And leave with perfect peace
A couple will reunite
Prayer will bring such sweet release
Some may call it Memory Garden
Many thoughts will there unfold
Nothing can erase these treasures
Far more value than purest gold

My Garden by Miss Mary

My Garden
 Come, come I invite you
In “My Garden” with Me take a walk
True love will bind us together
In sweet communion we’ll talk

Come you who are weary
Lay your head on My breast
I will ever be near you
In “My Garden” you’ll find peaceful rest

Come you who are thirsty
Drink of My fount from above
I will give living water
As we walk in “My Garden” of love

Come you who are lonely
Sit in “My Garden” with Me
We’ll talk of abundant blessings
As much of My beauty you see

 Love always,
Jesus

Prayer Island Poem

On this sacred soil
I water with tears
But in this ground
I bury my fears
And on my knees
I carefully prune
Weeds in my heart
That choke out the tune
Of a new song
